Nature Photography tours and workshops with Roy Toft

Tours & Workshops

Nature photography tours and workshops with Roy ToftRoy Toft’s passion is teaching others to enhance their photographic skills. When traveling with Roy, each participant benefits from his formal training as a zoologist, naturalist, teacher and animal behaviorist. Roy is first and foremost a wildlife enthusiast, and his love for wild things and places is contagious.

"Roy has the rare gift as a professional whereas he can relate to, and work with, amateur photographers as well as the pros. His sense of humor combined with his knowledge of photography produced possibly the best photo workshop I have attended to date"
Earl Duty, Photographer

Customized Travel with Toft Photo - our preference

When it comes to organizing group travel, our preference is to work hand in hand with the event planner from a corporation, photography club, educational organization, zoo or museum to design a unique itinerary & agenda that will exceed the expectations of any size group. Toft Photo has organized private workshops and/or tours for organizations as: Alaska Society of Nature Photographers and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. References from satisfied customers are available.

Photographic Tours, Workshops & Weekends

Toft Photo also routinely offer “pre-arranged” trips to some of Roy Toft’s favorite photographic destinations. In 2010 and 2011, we are offering photographic tours & workshops to Alaska, Japan, Brazil, Honduras, Botswana, Zimbabwe (Botswana tour extension), and the “ever popular” Costa Rica. Ticos (Costa Rican natives) welcome Roy as a “regular” multiple times each year to the lovely Osa Peninsula.

Participant's Comments

"Being with Roy Toft in a photo workshop is indeed a treat and a priviledge! He not only is an extrordinary photographer but he has that rare ability to give away what he knows. He does this while at the same time making sure everyone in the group is having a great time and getting the most out of the experience.
Also as a frequent Museum trip leader, I really appreciated his professionalism and competence in handling all the arrangements and important details of the week . He had thought of everything!
Our entire group agreed that being a part this workshop was one of the best experiences they had ever had. We can't wait to do it again!
"

Mary Ann Brittain
Director Prairie Ridge Ecostaion
Museum of Natural Sciences

"Photo workshops are the most helpful for the amateur when the pros are willing to share some of their special secrets. Roy Toft is comfortable enough with his craft to divulge lots of great tips. His enthusiasm for the art of nature photography is infectious."

Stan Bysshe, Photographer

"I can honestly say that he has combined his wit, humor, photography and teaching skills into a very enjoyable experience that makes you want to come back again and again."
