Tour Description: Duba Plains Camp lies in the most remote reaches of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, in an area renowned for the endless conflict between prides of lions and the herds of buffalo which sustain them. The award-winning National Geographic documentary Relentless Enemies chronicled this battle for survival. Duba Plains Camp is an unobtrusive camp surrounded by expanses of seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony, sycamore fig and mangosteen trees.

We are offering you the option to spend one or two nights at Ilala Lodge.

The price will be dependant on your flights and the number of days you spend in Victoria Falls.

Sunday, April 1, 2012 LINYANTI - OKAVANGO DELTA - DUBA PLAIN We leave the group today (see Botswana Wildlife Safari Photo Tour) and fly to the Okavango Delta where we spend four days in search of lions. Duba Plains Camp (BLD)

Monday - Wednesday, April 2-4, 2012 Okavango Delta Our four-day luxury safari at Duba Plains Camp focuses on tracking down one of the enormous buffalo herds to see whether the lions are on the prowl. But Duba Plains Camp has more to offer than just lion and buffalo, with herds of elephant feeding on the islands and hippo wading out into the deeper channels. Tsessebe and blue wildebeest dot the plains, while red lechwe are found on the fringe of the wetter floodplains. Spotted hyena can also be seen in their own age-old conflict with the lions. Birdlife is abundant and impressive in the Okavango Delta, with Rosy-throated Longclaw, Slaty Egret and Wattled Crane often sighted. Duba Plains Camp offers a variety of activities including day and night game drives, often tracking the buffalo herd around the concession, and leisurely nature walks. Boat cruises are dependent on the seasonal water levels in the Duba area. Duba Plains Camp (BLD)
