The Rainforests Of Costa RicaOsa Peninsula, Costa RicaI've just returned from a fabulous Costa Rica photography workshop. This five day workshop was co-lead by my wonderful friend and colleague Nancy Rotenberg and attended by eight enthusiastic photographers.
Bosque del Cabo (our lodge) gave us our usual plethora of photo subjects ranging from the colorful Red-eyed Tree frogs to the curious and playful White-faced Capuchin monkeys. Ok...they weren't always so playful, as seen in the picture of the "angry threesome" I've included in the gallery.
The real highlight of the week were the Toucans. We lucked out with one of the ornate palm trees on the property having ripe palm fruit the exact week of the workshop! This made for repeated great photo opportunities for the entire group. Both the larger Chestnut-mandible Toucan and the smaller Fiery-billed Aracari were feeding on red berries ten feet off the ground, with wonderful backgrounds, making for some spine chilling photo experiences.
The one aerial picture in the gallery is the tip of the Osa Peninsula where our lodge for the workshop is located. All the ocean cabinas have a view of that amazing blue water...
I can't wait to go back!
