TOFT PHOTO SAFARIS

GET EXCEPTIONALLY CLOSE TO WILDLIFE

Welcome to Toft Photo Safaris! Roy Toft leads small-group (6-12 participants) wildlife photography tours and workshops to many of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations and offers photographers of all skill levels the opportunity to see majestic animals up close. Our photo expeditions are productive and known for being well-organized, adventurous, educational, and fun!

Some of the wildlife-rich locations and animals include Brazil, Chile, Peru, India and Africa for big cats (jaguars, tigers, lions, leopards, snow leopards, pumas, and cheetahs); Alaska for wild brown bears and nesting eagles, Manitoba, Canada for polar bears and arctic fox, Costa Rica for scarlet macaws and other wildlife unique to the rainforests, and the wildlife in the African countries of Botswana, Namibia, and Madagascar.

OSA, WHERE THE RAINFOREST MEETS THE SEA

In a remote and lush corner of Costa Rica, lies a realm of giant trees, howling (and Howler) monkeys, scarlet macaws in flight, big and small cats on the prowl, and ocean bound hatchling sea turtles. This is on the the last places on Earth where virgin rainforest grows right to the high tide line, and a visitor might walk for hours – or days – along its isolated coast without meeting a single person.

This the the Osa Peninsula and there is no other place in the world like it.

In Osa: Where the Rainforest Meets the Sea, award winning photographer Roy Toft and ecologist Dr. Trond Larsen combine photographic art and scientific knowledge to portray the beauty, complexity, and uniqueness of the Osa Peninsula.
